Privacy policy

Your privacy

Hoot & Holler Hootenanny is designed as a locally operated macOS game. Game play, team selections, scores, and question libraries are handled on the host’s Mac. MediaPro Productions does not receive that game-session information through this website.

This website does not intentionally request player names, create player accounts, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers. Standard technical records may be processed by the services that deliver the website, including GitHub Pages and domain/DNS providers, for security, reliability, and basic operation. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies.

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send. We use it to respond, provide support, and maintain reasonable business records. We do not sell it.

Terms of use

Using the app and website

By using the app or website, you agree to use them lawfully and in a manner that respects other players. A purchased or otherwise authorized copy may be used according to the license supplied with the app and the rules of the store or channel through which it was obtained.

You may not redistribute, resell, publish, reverse engineer, or create an unauthorized competing copy of the software, bundled challenge library, artwork, branding, or website content except where applicable law expressly permits it.

The app and website are provided on an “as available” basis. MediaPro Productions does not promise uninterrupted operation or suitability for every venue, device setup, audience, or purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediaPro Productions is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the product.

Participant safety

The host is responsible for the room

Barnyard activities are intended for friendly entertainment. The host must use judgment based on the ages, mobility, health, comfort, space, venue rules, and preferences of participants. Any player may decline or modify an activity. The host should skip anything unsuitable and must not pressure participation.

Keep walkways clear, avoid running or unsafe physical activity, and do not use the app as a substitute for supervision or professional safety guidance. Participation is voluntary and undertaken at each participant’s own risk.

Question libraries

Accuracy and user-created content

Hosts can load or create separate .hoot topic files. The author or supplier of a question file is responsible for its accuracy, permissions, tone, and suitability. MediaPro Productions cannot guarantee the accuracy of third-party or user-created questions.

Do not include confidential information, unlawful material, or copyrighted content you do not have permission to use. Review new libraries before presenting them to an audience.
